About
Montcuq black truffles: WHO ARE WE ?
DESCRIPTION Truffles noirs de Montcuq is a brand operated by Truffles NJP which is located in Quercy Blanc near the famous village of Montcuq since the television program "Le Petit Rapporteur".
On Sunday mornings, the Montcuq market is a very popular and essential link for the inhabitants of the canton and the neighboring department. Of course, don't forget the Tour de Montcuq, listed as a historic monument in 1904. From the top of its keep, you can overlook the entire valley of Petite Barguelonne. By visiting it you can see an exhibition on the singer Nino Ferrer.
The farm is based on the territory of Lebreil. The southern orientation of the truffle fields on the hillside, on clay-limestone soils, benefits the farm which, in this ideal setting, produces black Périgord truffles. This mushroom belongs to the family of ascomycetes, its botanical name is: Tuber melanosporum.
By visiting the farm, you will also appreciate the Topiary Art practiced in certain truffle fields and you will evolve in a very pleasant, hilly setting, reminiscent of Tuscany.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
These truffles are the result of a passion that drives me, growing from year to year, generating exchange and sharing: especially during meetings on the farm, on the markets, such as that of Lalbenque, meetings between enthusiasts and now through this site.
